Happy birthday, euIRC
It finally happened 5 years ago: euIRC officially opened the doors.
A few people had enough of netsplits and takeovers which were a common problem on IRCnet at that time, and decided to found their own IRC network giving no chance to script-kiddies.
Starting with a few hundreds of users many things have changed. euIRC has become the biggest European network, having over 9,000 users in the evenings - continuously increasing. Several versions of the special adapted server software brought new features especially for homepage administrators. Despite a few set-backs due to DOS attacks additional servers had been linked.
euIRC's team wishes successful coming years!
